Mission:
To educate students about the environment and conservation of natural resources through hands-on outdoor experiences, academic study, and collaborative competitions.
Vision:
To equip students with the knowledge and skills to educate others, inspire action in their local communities, and promote a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Each year, over 25,000 high school students from the United States, Canada, China, and Singapore take on the challenge of finding solutions to pressing environmental issues through the NCF-Envirothon.
The Envirothon® is a hands-on environmental education and conservation competition designed for high school students. Combining STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles with real-world problem-solving, it provides an immersive learning experience in aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and current environmental issues. Through outdoor field studies and collaborative teamwork, students develop critical thinking skills to tackle complex environmental challenges.
By participating in the Envirothon, students gain the knowledge and confidence to educate others, drive action in their communities, and cultivate a lifelong dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
On Thursday, January 30, more than 100 students in Sarasota and Manatee Counties vied for the chance to represent their county at the State Competition in April. Congratulations to the winners from Suncoast Polytech and Manatee High School!
